Spotify placement conditions

What you get

• Your song submitted for release on Spotify.
• We prepare metadata, cover art and audio using the package you purchased.
• Typical delivery to Spotify takes 3–5 business days after approval — timing is set by the platform, not ToneTote.
• This is not playlist pitching or guaranteed streams. Your song becomes searchable on Spotify like any other release.

Original music only

Your song must be original — written for your gift, not copied from existing commercial tracks.

• No cover songs of other artists' works.
• No samples, remixes, or loops from songs, films, games, TikTok sounds, or other sources you do not own.
• No melodies or lyrics taken from copyrighted songs, even with small changes.
• You must own or control the rights to the recording and composition we submit.

Clean lyrics required

Streaming platforms restrict explicit content in many regions. For ToneTote Spotify placement:

• No profanity, slurs, or hate speech in lyrics or track titles.
• No sexually explicit or graphically violent language.
• Family-friendly wording only — suitable for a gift you'd share with anyone.

If your lyrics contain banned language, our system will not approve the release and we will ask you to edit the text before submission.

What we check before upload

ToneTote reviews every Spotify add-on order before submission. We may decline or pause release if:

• Lyrics include profanity or offensive content.
• The song appears to imitate another artist's work or a famous commercial track.
• Cover art contains copyrighted logos, celebrity photos, or brand trademarks without permission.
• Audio quality is too low for store requirements (severe clipping, silence, wrong file).
• Metadata is misleading (fake featured artists, wrong titles, spam patterns).

Spotify may still reject or remove a release after upload if it violates platform policies — even after our review.

AI-generated songs

Your ToneTote song is created with AI tools. You are responsible for ensuring the final lyrics and concept are original and appropriate. Do not request content that copies a known song, imitates a famous artist, or uses protected characters.

Refunds & resubmission

• If you break these conditions (profanity, copying, samples), the Spotify fee is not refundable — we can help you fix lyrics and resubmit when possible.
• If we cannot deliver submission due to a ToneTote error, contact [email protected].
• Store takedowns caused by rights complaints are handled under platform rules.
